Guidance and counseling services are integrated and inseparable part of the overall educational activities in schools and covers all the objectives and functions of guidance and counseling
Therefore, guidance and counseling efforts should enable the learners to know and accept themselves and recognize and accept the environment in a positive and dynamic, and capable of making decisions, directing and realizing self-effectively and productively in accordance with a chill role in the future.
According to author Tim Guidebook Implementation Guidance and Counselling Service (2004) that the field of guidance counseling field includes personal, social guidance, tutoring, and career guidance
a. Field Guidance Prbadi
Personal guidance services in SMP / MTs aims to help learners identify, locate, and develop a personal faith and devoted to God Almighty, independent and healthy physically and spiritually.
b. Field of Social Guidance
Social assistance services in SMP / MTs aims to help learners understand themselves in relation to environmental and social ethics are based on noble character and social responsibility.
c. Field Tutoring
Tutoring services in SMP / MTs aims to help learners identify, cultivate and develop themselves, attitudes and good learning habits to master knowledge and skills, according to study programs in SMP / MTs in order to prepare them to continue their education to higher secondary level and / or participate in community life.
d. The field of Career Guidance
Career guidance services in SMP / MTs aims to help students recognize and develop your own potential through the mastery of knowledge and skills, understand the environment of education and employment sectors as the environment
